APPRENTICESHIP

Apprenticeships train individuals while they are also working for a company. Training includes on-the-job and classroom instruction.

In Pennsylvania, Apprenticeships are registered with the PA Department of Labor and Industry. For more information about registered apprenticeships, visit the Pennsylvania Apprenticeship and Training Office website.

Pittsburgh Chapter NTMA Apprenticeship

Since 1976, the Pittsburgh Chapter NTMA has provided regional manufacturers with a proven apprenticeship training program for individuals seeking metalworking educational opportunities with standards focused on world-class tooling and machining.

SHORT TERM TRAINING – NEW CENTURY CAREERS

New Century Careers offers its tuition-free Manufacturing 2000 (M2K) program to qualified students interested in pursuing a career in machining.  The M2K program is also a PA registered Pre-Apprenticeship program. Learn more here.
